October News Letter – English

On September 23, we held a heartfelt worship service to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the dedication of our JFC Building. This chapel is unique in its beginnings; the funds came from members saving 25 cents in baby formula cans to purchase a simple warehouse from an electric company. In a country filled with grand churches featuring large halls, stained glass, organs, and kitchens, our chapel may seem humble by comparison. Yet, it is precisely this simplicity that allows us to focus on the true essence of ministry.

Just as Christ was born in a humble stable, beginning a mission that would transform the world, our chapel—small and having faced challenges like recent leaks—continues to remind us of our mission’s heart. In recent years, our church itself has endured various trials. However, in the midst of all this, we are guided by scripture. As 1 Corinthians 12:27 says, “You are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.”

As we celebrated this 30th anniversary, gathering people of all ages and backgrounds to share in the Word, the Lord’s Supper, and baptisms, we felt the profound miracle of our shared faith. This anniversary marked not just a building’s dedication, but our connection to the living body of Christ and the power of His resurrection.
